Another week, another highlight y'all! A few weeks ago I saw @itsoodon tweet out the cutest fan art combining SushiBytes, Yummi Universe & Jolly Roger's Crew. Since then they have been spamming us with the most adorable fan art & WE LOVE IT! Read along as we learn more about @itsoodn and their incredible art. 💜
What other art do you create?
Other than digital art pieces, I do experiment creating art pieces using traditional mediums from time to time. I almost always start off each piece sketching on paper using a 2B pencil so when I’m feeling extra bored that day, I would ink using a marker and finish the piece using colour pencils. I used to doodle on takeaway coffee cups to remember the nice cafes and coffee places I visit during my vacation. Guess with the current situation, that project would need to be put on hold.
What influences your style?
To be honest, I am still trying to figure out what exactly is my art style. Currently, I would think it is largely influenced by Japanese animation and culture. Food is another source of my art inspiration, for some reason if you create characters out of food, it makes your art more attractive and relatable to the audience.
When did you get into art?
Started doodling when I was 10, got into graffiti when I was 15 years old and have been doing random art pieces ever since. I lost a bit of inspiration to illustrate recently and only created a few pieces last year, that was until I discovered the CNFT space and amazing projects like Sushibytes which sparked off the inspiration to create more pieces to engage with the community.
