Fan Art Highlights: @eleanorwould

We are inspired everyday by the SushiBytes community members. Their talent, creativity and support motivate us to continue expanding the SushiBytes Universe everyday. To show our appreciation we will begin highlighting the fans who have submitted their fan art, not just for our contests but outside of the contests as well. Through this celebration of art we aim to strengthen community and inspire YOU to embrace your creative powers and share them with the world.

This week we highlight @eleanorwould, she is the 3rd place winner of the SushiBytes Fan Art Contest, Volume 2! We love seeing SushiBytes take a break from their training to enjoy some time at this soy sauce pool party.

We asked her to share about her art, creative process and some of her pieces. Here is your chance to get to know her & check out more of her creations!

1) What other art do you create?

I’m a bit of a jack-of-all-trades who likes to experiment with different kinds of image making with different media, but I especially love to create collages with vintage magazines and other kinds of collected printed ephemera.

2) What influences your style?

I grew up in the Cornish countryside surrounded by nature, so I’d say I’m influenced by the beauty of the natural world, as well as by my collection of old/antique books and magazines – I’m a fan of all things which are a bit old, dusty, and strange (!) – I especially like the colours and textures you find with old printing methods, and their faded look.

3) When did you get into art?

I’ve been passionate about art and making things since I was little - I used to be totally obsessed with Sega and spent many hours drawing pictures of Sonic the Hedgehog! I went on to study illustration at Brighton University, and I now work in an art gallery which suits me very well because I get to be surrounded by art, and talk to people about art all day long.
After feeling I’d lost my ‘creative Mojo’ recently it was great to be inspired by the SushiBytes NFT project. I can’t wait to embrace my Sega-loving inner child again and battle with my SushiBytes!

@eleanorwould thank you for sharing your dreamy creations with us. May you continue to receive inspiration to share your gifts with the world! 💜
